TANSY BLAIK-KELLY, PILATES TEACHER
A calm, sensitive and friendly teacher, with over twenty seven years of personal Pilates experience, Tansy strives to help clients achieve their physical potential through developing a healthy and happy body.
Tansy has a background in dance, and began learning Pilates at ballet school in 1987 with Alan Herdman, founder of the UK's first Pilates studio. Although professionally she chose a different path, with a successful 17 year Costume career, working in theatres across London's West End, and touring nationally and internationally, Tansy continued with Pilates classes throughout.
Having personally felt the many benefits to her own health, fitness and vitality from Pilates, in 2006 Tansy decided a career change was needed, and began retraining to teach its many benefits to others.
Tansy is fully qualifed to teach Matwork and Studio Equipment Pilates, and is a Pre and Postnatal Pilates Specialist through the Pilates Foundation, and Polestar Pilates. Tansy has been teaching Pilates at Back On Track Clinic since 2009.
Turning Tide Pilates offers seventeen weekly group classes, as well as one-one sessions. I strive to help clients achieve their physical potential through developing a healthy and happy body, working with all ages and abilities, and those recovering from injuries. As part of my on-going membership to the Pilates Foundation, I am required to continue my education and training through attending specialist workshops and courses.
